Wednesday's News

With the evenings drawing in members are gathering to continue with building of layouts in readiness for our Special Open Day on Saturday 26th October 2024 when we have a joint venture with St Mary's Church (PE15 0BA) in raising funds for the Church and hall we use on a regular basis. We will be exhibiting both club members layouts alongside club layouts in the Church itself with demonstrations in the Church Hall and the ladies of the church will look after the kitchen and on offer will be bacon butties, cakes, teas and coffee. Additionally the club stand selling a variety of items.


Free parking and fully accessible venue.


Michael's latest work building a point in EM gauge from a kit using Exactoscale Products.


Steve and Alan been busy with Ardgowan adding greenery after ballasting the track on the 7mm O16.5 Gauge Narrow Gauge layout which will be at our Open Day as will Fenton St Clare of the same scale.




Len is busy constructing an O gauge kit of a road tanker.


Richard is fitting a 'stay alive' to his DCC Flying Scotsman TT gauge following brief instruction leaflet!!



Progress with O gauge layout Fenland Yard with Richard H persevering with painting rough drystone walls turning them from pink primer to grey. Alastair also busy with laying floorboards in the office where nobody will likely see them but they will be there!!


Peter and Keith fitting folding self contained legs to the brickyard layout.


Finally looking at the more or less finished wiring to the track of David W's On30 American layout (scale 1:48).
