Keith Sharpe has decided to retire this year after almost sixteen years of leading the club forward and to its continuing success. It would take too long listing everything Keith has led the way on with assistance from the committee and members.
One remarkable feat has been the gathering together of Model Railway suppliers to support and help fund a Community Project with the initiative of constructing an O gauge layout for taking out to local Care Networks, Libraries, Dementia Cafe's and Care Homes helping people to remember and recall what a great railway industry we had in the District. The sound of steam locomotives, whistles and clanking of wagon couplings bring back many memories and smiles with tales of exploits when young. Among those very generous suppliers contributing to the scheme have been Dapol, Peco, Lcut Creative laser buildings, Grainge & Hodder baseboards, Morley Controllers, Layouts4u, Cambridgeshire County Council Healthy Fenland, March Tesco Community and many others who have generously supported the project.
The members gave their heartfelt thanks to Keith for his leadership and our esteemed Treasurer Steve presented him with a cheque in appreciation of his hard work which I am sure will be spent on new stock or locomotive!!
Keith will now have time for some modelling himself but has one more task to complete and that is the organisation of our fundraising Late Summer Model Railway Show in partnership with St Mary's Church at our clubroom at Wisbech Road, Westry, March on Saturday 30th August 2025.

We welcome our new Chairman Bob C and a new committee and wish them every success.
