Members and invited guests enjoyed a great day with the Nene Valley Railway. Bacon bap or sausage bap as starters washed down with tea or coffee followed by a trip to Yarwell. On return a wander to inspect the rebuilt signalbox at Orton Mere before departing to Fletton Junction. Then back to Wansford for a guided shed tour followed by lunch of pie, chips & peas. Yummy!! After lunch we split into two groups taking turns to visit Wansford signalbox and experience riding and working a pump trolley from level crossing to starting signal. After getting their breath back after all that exhausting pumping a relaxing departure in a Pacer unit to take in the complete line to Yarwell & Peterborough with on-board trolley service. A really enjoyable day out!!!
