More Modelling Less Chatting!

A busy evening with everyone working on club layout buildings and demonstrating their activities for home layouts. Photo taken around the room at teatime (mugs in evidence) with discussions of methods used and plans for the future.

Here Keith is testing switches held in stock to ensure they will be working on the new Brickyards layout. Baseboards not yet completed but there are other tasks for when electrics required.

Here chairman Keith shows his latest creation of a coaling stage complete with swiveling crane & buckets, piles of real coal and a water crane and drain.

Steve and Trevor are sorting out the many pieces of an O gauge Mallard which has been collected as a weekly publication by Hatchette previously advertised on television. The kit had been started but stored for quite a while in a cupboard just waiting for motivation to strike again. It is an all brass and whitemetal kit requiring solder and adhesive construction.

Talking of kits being stored in a cupboard, for more than 15 years, Glyn has finally taken it upon himself to fetch out his Peco 7mm narrow gauge coaches, fit seating, passengers and attach roofs. Early stages of a micro layout which could well change both in design, scale and size before it is ever finished!!

Some kindly person dug out a photo of our Open day from September 12th 2008. We all looked

very much younger..........

Finally we will be exhibiting two of our layouts at Bressingham Steam Museum near Diss in Norfolk on Sunday 24th September this year should anyone fancy a nice interesting trip out. The admission includes all the museum exhibits and train rides as well as the model railway displays.
