Exhibition Preparations Ongoing

Busy evening with many groups working on finalising tasks, testing layouts, sorting items for the draw and what refreshments will be required.

Dave has been very busy working on his castle having made a rocky promontory for his scratch built towers (a very long process) to stand upon and is now working out the size and shape of the 1" thick walls to be installed between them. The walls will be very intricate shapes owing to the curvature and placing of each tower and the fact some will need to be trapezoid shape. Dave does so enjoy a challenge!!!

A pair of O gauge dcc sound chipped locos being tested for one of the exhibition layouts which was made for home use and will be on display to the public for the first time. The 0-6-0 GWR 57xx in green is made by Dapol and the maroon 0-6-0 Hudswell Clarke is an Ixion model.

More progress with the lighthouse as a new kit building constructed by Steve is completed. Smashing job with the paint work on brickwork and windows matching in well.

Finally for this evening a view of work in progress with the interior of an O gauge engine shed being given an engineering brick finish by Alistair. It's keeping him busy and out of mischief........

A reminder, date for your diary
