Test track all set up for the running in of new purchases and checking others for servicing issues etc.
For a start we have Alan's recent purchases of Fleischmann Oe steam locomotives and coaches which are made under the Magic Train collection. The scale is close to 7mm narrow gauge and runs on 16.5mm (00) track.
Next is David's Bachmann Spectrum On30 tender loco having a run following investigation into jerky running. Delighted to say all is now good. The On30 scale at 1:48 is slightly smaller than 7mm narrow gauge at 1:43 but still runs on 16.5 mm track (same as 00 layouts). Standard O gauge 32mm track in foreground of photo.
Now for Liam's new Hornby set marketed under one of the first model railway brands of Rovex (later Triang then Hornby). The loco is Princess Elizabeth running very smoothly with pick up on all wheels whereas the original Princess Elizabeth had only one plunger pick up contacting each rail and not the best of runners.
Now from Bob is a BR Class 9F 2-8-0 tender loco and I believe an early American Bachmann 0-4-0 shunter. Both ran smoothly and the shunter is sought after as a reliable running chassis for 7mm narrow gauge locos.
Finally Richard's new purchase of Hornby Brighton Belle set of 1960 Pullman cars. Looked very smart and smooth runner.
