Back at Clubroom after a great Open Day

The test track has its first loco running a circuit around O gauge track

The Chairman's Dapol Jinty in red no 16410

Next up is the 2nd prize in Saturday's draw at the Open Day won by T Brooking who popped over from Downham Market with his friend to collect his winnings. A Dapol 8 plank private owner wagon which became the first piece of goods stock to run on the test track in tandem with Keith's Class 08 black diesel shunter.

The other Keith managed to source an 00 gauge brick wagon with load to add to others he has already acquired for a new layout based upon Whittlesey brickyards when rail haulage took bricks across the whole of the UK.

Finally a couple of shots of the 7mm narrow gauge 'Ardgowan' layout with the traverser hiding under a hill and the early stages of metamorphosis of a jar on top of a paper coffee cup posing as a lighthouse from Alan!!! Cannot wait to see the outcome........

Finally, we would like to thank all of the people who came to Saturday's Open Day and made it a huge success. It was great to meet and talk model railways and explain what we enjoy doing as a Club with so many children, parents, grandparents and everyone.
