An Evening Exercise for Locos New & Old

Running night again as last Wednesday of the month and new O gauge Dapol DMU alongside rather ancient Lima 0-6-0 Fowler & 0-4-0 shunter with four more elderly weathered Rovex mineral wagons. It was very nice of John to visit us to see the locos he donated to our club put through their paces with a train of Pullman & Teak coaches. They looked very very much at home speeding along the track in their splendid livery without any hesitation following their being in storage a while. With so much activity the photographer (?) missed some of the action and other pics taken were blurred by the speed!!! Excuses.........

Our club shunting layout, Nene Sidings, was used to familiarise members as to how it is erected and set up for when they take it to exhibitions and local care homes.

Alan's USA narrow gauge and transporter wagon similar to those used on Peak District Ashover railway. The tanker has been renamed as his grandchidren thought the original Gramps referred to him - or was it Grumps............. :) sorry Alan.

Dave's O gauge DMU compared to Andy's in 00 gauge.

Richard's bargain coaches behind 0-6-0 Terrier in O gauge and Bob's Maroon Autocoach with Dapol pannier tank. O gauge is becoming very popular in the club with quite a number of ready-to-run locos & rolling stock now available from Dapol, Heljan and Minerva being topped up with commissions from retailers such as Rails of Sheffield, Hattons of Liverpool, Ellis Clark and others.
