After the AGM - Back to Fun Business!!

Last week we had the club AGM where the past years highs and lows were discussed so back to a good evenings model railways with a great buzz and feeling of camaraderie in the hall. We have welcomed nine new members and returnees into the club with one sad note on the passing of our friend David Bromfield who had held the post of Treasurer until recently since early in our inauguration in 2003. David was one of our founder members and will leave a legacy memory of friendship and laughter with his gentle style of wry humour and dedication to the club..

Andy is pushing on with the construction and soldering of wiring & switches on control box for the ongoing redesign and reconstruction of Legion Yard layout.

Our returning member (after many years of working in London) Stewart is continuing with his repainting and lining his 00 gauge diesel multiple unit.

A sneaky overhead picture of Ardgowan quarry while Alan & Steve were debating on next job to be tackled before tea-break!!

The re-elected Treasurer cheerfully collecting in the cash with relish having successfully raised subscriptions (only by a minor amount) at the AGM.

Three photos of our March in Time layout as preparations continue by Peter and Richard for its next outing to Letchworth Model Railway Society Exhibition being held on 22nd July at The Priory School, Bedford Road, Hitchin, SG5 2UR.

Len and Ed trialing placement of ground cover in preparation of a section for a rock face on Ardgowan.

A taster of Richards work in designing a new simple computerised method of controlling functions when operating layouts using DCC. Way beyond my understanding and Richard will shortly produce an explanation of what it actually does and how. Over to you Richard...............
